What Is Paper io?
Paper io is an online territory-capture game where players control a colored block that moves across a grid-based map. The goal is to expand your territory by drawing lines and enclosing empty space to claim it as your own.
Core Gameplay Mechanics
Players begin with a small base and must venture outside it to claim new land. As you move outside your territory, you leave a visible trail behind. Once you return safely to your base, the enclosed area becomes part of your zone. However, if another player touches your trail before you return, you are instantly eliminated.
Risk vs. Reward System
Every expansion comes with danger. The farther you travel from your base, the greater the reward—but also the higher the risk of being cut off by opponents. This constant balance between attack and defense is what makes Paper io so thrilling.
